Restorative Practices

Restorative Practices are embedded in our school. These practices ensures that teacher-student engagement is positive and conflict resolution centres on rebuilding relationships. We have engaged in training each year to develop our systems and practices regarding restorative practices.

What is RP?

RP is a collaborative and proactive values based way of being that aims to build community and manage conflict by modelling positive behaviour.

Staff Training

Our staff are trained in Restorative Practices. The training was facilitated by Michelle Stowe CONNECT RP. Michelle is a restorative practitioner, trainer and consultant. She taught English and Spanish at second level for 16 years and is currently lecturing and supporting trainee teachers on the Professional Masters in Education (PME) programme in Maynooth University. She facilitates continuing professional development courses for teachers in Education Centres throughout the country. She supports organisations and schools eager to realise their potential individually and as a community by facilitating on-site training.
